Rae: “I just can’t eat in front of people.”

Stacey: “Why not?”

Rae: “Well, because, if I eat unhealthy food, then people will think ‘Oh, look at that fat cow. No wonder she got to that size,’ and if I eat healthy food, then they think ‘Well, who’re you trying to kid, love? You didn’t get to that size by eating salads.’”

The fat experience in a nutshell. Bloody hell, My Mad Fat Diary is brilliant.

I once had a nurse practitioner say the exact same thing as the last gif.

They hit the nail on the head every single time.

This is the most successful gifset that has come up from the show. Look at the notes, is crazy!
It’s bittersweet moment, a triumph for this amazing show but the sad reflection of society’s double standards.

Thankful for this.

Hot Topic is known amongst artist groups as one of the worst offenders of art theft in U.S. retailers. I know artists are important to What Pumpkin, and I’d imagine multiple cases of art theft would be a very big deal. The most well-known of the cases were stolen fan art from independent artists, which is the same demographic the Design Contest was aimed to.  I’m an artist myself and I wouldn’t want to support a store that steals from my peers.

The people running Hot Topic have zero respect to artists and to copyright law. They’ve been ripping-off independent artists’ storefronts, and continue do so. The whole company really should have been shut down long ago.

If you support artists, independent, fan artist, or any kind, you should oppose Hot Topic and MSPA’s association with them!

Tell What Pumpkin to kick Hot Topic out of the Design contest RIGHT NOW.

We have so little time left to stop this please tell them that it is completely unacceptable to do any sort of business with petty art thieves.

Even if you don’t know what to say, or if you think it would compromise the contestants; It won’t. Just please voice your thoughts in anyway you can put them. Don’t let Hot Topic get a dime out of Homestuck.

Nong Youhui, a blue-eyed boy in China, stunned doctors with his ability to see in pitch black with eyes that glow in the dark; his ‘cat’s eyes’ makes him to read perfectly without any light and sees as clearly as most people do during the day, setting the world record for the first human who can see in the dark, according to World Record Academy

Doctors have studied Nong Youhui’s amazing eyesight since his dad took him to hospital in Dahua, southern China, concerned over his bright blue eyes.

The father said: “They told me he would grow out of it and that his eyes would stop glowing and turn black like most Chinese people but they never did.”

The boy’s mother was interviewed briefly and seems quite proud of her “Starchild” son.

"evolution isn’t a real thing"

^has nothing to do with evolution, more like mutation. a beneficial one.

It definitely has something to do with evolution. Mutations that have evolved incrementally — evolution

Furthermore, there is no single genetic mutation that could produce a fully formed and functioning tapetum lucidum, Reynolds explained; such an ability would require multiple mutations, which don’t just happen all at once. Evolution happens incrementally, he said, not by leaps and bounds. “Evolutionarily, mutations can result in differences that allow for new environmental niche exploitation. But such mutations are modified over long periods.

Soon peeps gonna be running around with Rinnegans and shit. Someone’s gonna try and steal his eyes on some ninja shit.

Imagine a world where we don’t need lights because we can see in the dark

Some things I’ve learned:

  • Try as hard as you can not to judge. Everyone is the way they are for a reason. You don’t know what happened in their past that made them that way.
  • It’s good to push yourself out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to get comfortable with your daily routine, but this is the surest way to kill your spirit. Even if you don’t feel like doing something, you never know what could happen if you do. “You won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain” -Jack Kerouac
  • Be kind. In the end, people will want to be around you if you make them feel good about themselves. Not only that, but it will make you feel good about yourself too.
  • Travel. Travel as much as you can afford to, and then travel more. You won’t understand why until you do, but it’s important.
  • Keep an open mind. You don’t know everything and you’re not always right. Take everything in.
  • Keep a dream journal.
  • The past and future aren’t real. There is only now.
  • Learn to be happy alone. Learn to be happy with people.
  • Spend time outside every day. Go on walks or lay in the grass or eat on your patio. It’s easy to forget how important nature is, but I think it has a lot to do with happiness.
  • Don’t forget to breathe.
  • Take care of yourself because you only have one body. Anything that is naturally bright blue, green, purple or red is magic food. Eat lots of it.
  • Reading good books makes you happier and smarter.
  • Do what you want. Take what other people have to say into account, but then make up your own mind.
  • Love.
  • Be curious. Everything is fascinating when you look close enough.
  • Do good. Always be nice, but beyond that, find something you deeply care about, and fight for it. I promised myself when I was little that I would dedicate my life to fighting for animal’s rights. Don’t let your life be about feathering your own nest. “You haven’t lived until you’ve found something worth dying for.” -Paul Watson, Sea Shepherds
  • Life is funny. Don’t take anything too seriously. If you’re sad about failing a test, just think about how many stars there are in the universe. More than every grain of sand on every beach in the world. Your test is nothing.
  • You are wonderful. The only thing left to work on is realizing this.

this post make me rly happy okay
